I am writing an article about alternative containers for wines. If you have not yet poured a wine from a plastic bottle, carboard box or can the chances are good that you will in the next year or so as these things are gathering popularity...

But have you already encountered alternatives, and ifso, what did you think of them?

I can't help thinking that the wine would taste differently coming out of, say, an aluminum can. Hm. Maybe that's just an incorrect assumption?

Good point, SWK. I think the cans have an inert lining. If you poured it into a glass I don't think you'd be able to tell from a wine in a glass bottle, but if you drank it from the can .....
