A friend of mine has her Masters from a very good school and wants to get a doctorate. However every doctoral-level online school she looks into seems to be very scammy.

Does anyone know of any legitimate online schools that offer doctorate level programs, or do they not exist yet?

Edinburgh Business School offers a legitimate DBA. (I'm working on my MBA through them.) Apparently a number of European schools view a doctorate as essentially totally research and if your adviser is willing to work with you remotely you can take part in their "regular" doctoral programs that way. An acquaintance of mine was admitted to a doctoral program in England in that manner.

OK I just talked with her and she's enthused that there are legitimate doctorates online! Now she's looking for a doctorate in psychology. So does anybody know of one of those?
