Last week, our local public television station aired the old 1940s movie, "Mrs. Miniver". Greer Garson and Walter Pigeon were terrific and I just loved it.

What struck me was how little things really have changed since then. We're still fighting wars and trying to keep our kids safe and somehow trying to find something we love - such as a beautiful rose.

If you've never seen this one, or if it's been a while, pour yourself some tea, sit back and enjoy. Keep the kleenex handy.

Stay healthy,

This is one of my all time favorite movies! I love WWII era books and movies and this one is so classically British. Greer Garson is really great it it.

I enjoy this film, but I wouldn't say it's one of my favourites. Can't put my finger on why though. I have it on DVD, but I've only watched it twice - but I know I'll watch it again - sometime.
