I was prompted to download the Googletool bar which I did..I don't recommend it and after a few days of my computer not acting right I deleted it and I'm running smoothly again.

I don't down load any toolbars...its not Google that is slowing it down it is any you download. I do like using Google over Yahoo. It is the only one that finds the best information.

I hate all those toolbars!

I work for a local ISP doing customer service and tech support. Usually I'm on the phone but I occasionally go to someone's house... and I see people's computers with a ridiculous number of toolbars! One lady had SEVEN different toolbars. You could hardly see the rest of the browser window! I asked her why so many, and she replied, "Well, it SAID I should install them, so I did..."

She was complaining that her internet was slow... once I got rid of most of those doggone toolbars and cleared out her temp files, it ran a LOT better!

Ofcource, these toolbars make the browser heavy and put load on the speed. Last week I was telling my friend that I am lucky that I never caught by a virus and my machine is working very smooth. But this statement broke 3 days earlier.

When I formatted the disk and installed a fresh copy of Win XP, Now there is a remarkable change in online and offline speed.

We install free offers and software which are not very much important and keep on, after a few weeks or month, they together put the loads and our system get under their stress.
