The latest article is posted. It concerns a new study showing most patients are not able to correctly name the medications they are taking while in the hospital. What can we do to improve this important patient learning deficit?

I keep a running medication list for me and my son in Excel on my computer and a printout laminated in my purse.

Then if anything changes, I come home and make the change and change my card in my purse, too. My card also lists our allergies.

He and I both take so many meds that it is almost impossible for us to remember the correct dosages (and sometimes names) - especially if we were ever in an emergency situation.
