Bob had Get Smart on in the background while I was working on my laptop last night. There's a "dance scene" in it where Agent 99 (a slinky female) is dancing with a suave guy. So Maxwell starts dancing with a rather heavy woman. There are a lot of raised eyebrows and twitters from the gathered crowd - but they dance amazingly well. I really like the light blue dress on the woman. They make some "fat jokes" (visually) along the lines of "how is he going to hold her up?" so those bothered me. I did like though that they showed that she could be graceful, sexy, and that the crowd all applauded wildly for her at the end.

So for me, a mixed bag. Did they have to start by making fun of her?

What do you guys think?

It's been so long since I've seen it I had to go look it up on YouTube. Honestly, I'm not offended by this one. It doesn't go out of its way to make the woman look bad.

Bob seems to like this movie, it was just on again in the other room so I went in for the dance scene. I still don't like how the thin models are so snarky about "who would ever want to dance with HER". I was glad that she was shown in a positive light when she danced.

I will never understand how so many people are offended over things like a scene of a movie! It's not like there's nothing to be offended about in real life, just take a pick between a genocide or a crime or something else other than fiction! People are so sensitive that I'll bet money I will never have that someone on Earth will be offended with the way I am sitting right now or/and my pajama or/and anything else going on in this room right now!
