I think it is so important to take those tiny steps. Every tiny step adds up.

If you want a cleaner house clean up just ONE THING. It will help!

Yes, taking tiny steps really helps. When I get overwhelmed with a big project, I try to focus on just one little thing I can do at the moment that brings me closer to my goal.

I have been learning the importance of consistency... Doing much better so far this year. smile

Consistency is important too. It's ok if you get off track. We all fall off track! Just get back on with a fresh step. Some people get frustrated and give up. Perseverance is key. Everyone slips, you just start again fresh.

Perseverance is key as my dad always told me when I was little.
Most successful people I've known are masters of perseverance. This is one characteristic of success that I definitely want to master.

Yes I agree I've read in many books that successful individuals are not lucky or wealthy - they are simply the ones who keep on going even when they get stuck, and stuck, and stuck.

I remember an interesting definition of 'LUCK' - L abour U nder C orrect K nowledge. If you talk to someone who's perceived as 'lucky' they will generally admit that it's just sheer perseverence of working at what they want till they get it!

That's very true! It's one thing to be lucky that you sit at home on your couch and suddenly someone hands you your life's dream. But it's quite another thing if you are out working at it, and you are able to persevere until it happens smile

In other news, I now have some clean rooms in my house!! I just took on a section at a time, and those sections added up! It works! smile

Each year I run into issues with the one year goals. The moving makes it impossible to actually carry out any long term or even short term ideas for myself.

Ok, impossible is a negative word. Let me think - there has to be some way to re-vision this.
