Windham Mountain opens its 2009-10 season on
Saturday, December 5, with
Ullr Fest, its annual event celebrating Ullr, the Nordic "god of snow."
Ullr will be out on the slopes and ready to take some turns with you. Dress in your vintage ski gear or Viking costume to receive a free hot chocolate. Sit by the fire and enjoy a ceremonial ski burning.
Windham Mountain is in Windham, NY, about 2 hours north of NYC and about an hour southwest of Albany.
