The Freer Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. is hosting a month-long Osamu Tezuka film fest in its Meyer Auditorium. Guests scheduled to appear during the fest are Frederik L. Schodt, Helen McCarthy, Natsu Onoda Power, and Yoshihiro Shimizu.

The documentary The Film is Alive: Osamu Tezuka Filmography will be shown, along with the following films and television series: Marine Express, Astro Boy, Prime Rose, The Fantastic Adventures of Unico, 1001 Nights, Vampire, Princess Knight, Marvelous Melmo, and The Three-eyed One. Some of Tezuka's short films made between 1962 and 1987 will also be shown.
