Hi, In the month of February, I was 8 weeks pregnant, and suddenly i started bleeding. I went to the doctor, and had an ultrasound. The doctor has shown us the baby, and we were able to hear the heart beat also, but the baby's length shows that its of 6 weeks, 3 days only (it is supposed to be 8 weeks). After 4 days i miscarried the baby. It was ejected automatically. When I went to the doctor the next day, she had an ultra sound and told me tat the baby was miscarried. Can any one tell me the reason of it? I used to have a light stomach ache after my 4th week ( but it used to be very light), i was on progesterone, but the doctor didnt do any blood tests to check, just when i told her tat i am having light stomach pain, she gave me progesterone supplements. Last month when i went to a doctor for a general checkup, i came to know tat im suffering from hypothyroidism with just a 0.5 level difference. Can anyone pls tel me what could be the reason of miscarriage... is it something related to progesterone levels, hypothyroidism, or anything other? Im scared a lot, as we are planning to conceive again.... Thanks in advance

1.) Chromosomal Abnormalities in the Baby 2.) Infections or Food Poisoning 3.) No Known Reason 4.) Underlying Health Problems such as uterus shape issues, implantation, infertility, Diabeties. and so forth. Sometimes in erly pregnancy there is an underline genetic issue with the baby and it is natures way of expelling abnormal babies. source- Dr. staff and online research. if it is recurrent I suggest you get tests done to see if you have uterus issues. I have a Y shaped uterus which makes it hard for me to carry past 1st trimester according to the er staff but I was told i can still have kids. also suggest that you try 3 months after a loss because your body is healing. Sorry for your loss, I feel for you on that! and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
