What are your favorite fall activities?

For, me, it's all about spending time outdoors and enjoying nature.

Due to my job - horse trainer - I am outside all of the time no matter the weather. Fall means trail rides, walking the dogs and all barn chores without the annoyance of sweat, bugs/bug spray and stamping equine feet - sheer heaven! Of course my real favorite activity is putting in a hard day and coming in, sitting next to the wood stove with a good book and glass of wine and waiting for the first snowflake.

That is an awesome idea Susan, and the book I may be reading could very well be a Dick Francis book.

I love all your suggestions! As per reading in the fall and winter, it has to be a mystery novel or science-fiction.

Susan,
I am in awe of your job as a horse trainer. How lucky! I adore horses, especially pintos.

We have a nice little paint mare here right now - she is quite startling colorwise with a lightning bolt that runs down the middle of her back and all the way through her tail - most unusual.

I do love my job - most days - the days I don't are over 85 degrees and high humidity - would love a nice air-conditioned work environment and no need to go outside - those days however are more likely spent putting hay in the barn than anything pleasant - so I really do look forward to the cooler fall and winter and that nice snuggle by the fire.
