I love speak like a pirate day! I never thought to find my pirate name though. Hmmmmm.

Maybe I'm just in a cynical mood today, and I don't know anything at all about this strange group of people who talk like pirates except that they apparently believe the decrease in pirate numbers adds to global warming, but isn't that a totally peculiar belief!! A decrease in pirate numbers? Really? Okay, it doesn't get loads of press coverage (but they can't have missed activities in Somalia, can they?) but a group who claims to be interested ought to research their topic. ooh arrr.

PennyG - the Pastifarians are careful to point out that modern pirates are in no way similar to "the fun-loving buccaneers from history" that we're concerned with here.

They have all the figures etc needed to show that as the number of pirates decreased, global temperatures increased.

The Talk Like a Pirate Day people are different to the Pastifarians - they're anyone and everyone who want to talk like a pirate on September 19th, including me.

There are various places to find your pirate name but if you just put "find your pirate name" into your search engine, the top one that comes up is the one I used to find out that my pirate name is Dread Pirate Bonney.

This is too much fun! I'm Captain Anne Flint. According to the pirate name website I'm "sparky but easily chipped" I think cracked is a better way to put it. LOL
