Hi, I am working on a so called "Victory Jumper" (pattern downloadable from the Victoria & Albert Museum website: www.vam.ac.uk/images/image/13096-popup.html) - the jumper looks amazing, but... now I'm stuck! I have knitted the bottom ribbed part in k1, p1. Then everything went wrong, but I don't know where I've gone wrong. The red and white wavy pattern on the jumper in the picture looks nothing like what I have done - my 'waves' look like they are upside down and nowhere near as pronounced as in the picture. The pattern looks really easy, basically only two rows repeated throughout (row 1 : k2 tog, k2, wl.fwrd., k1, wl.fwrd., slip 1, k1, psso / row 2: p. ) ... but I'm not making any progress! Any help at all would be appreciated! Many thanks Missy x

I am so sorry I've not responded sooner. I've not seen the instruction wl.fwrd, does the pattern say what that is?

Looking at the instructions: wl.fwd., wool forward is a UK term. Might that mean yarn over in US terms?

Well it seems like something is missing, because once the yarn is forward then you knit a stitch isn't that awkward?

Okay, one more step, I found this site Knitting Help which states that wl.fwd is a yarn over in the UK...see if that helps.

Again, my apologies that this took so long to answer.
