Caribana is celebrated by Caribbean people in Toronto. Costumes, music, food, loads of parties. This was the first year that I attended Caribana. I plan to go back again next year and be a participant in the floats. This means I am working on my costume, sketching a design and will be tailoring a glitzy piece of garment to prance around in with my fellow Island friends. If any of you want to meet up next year at Caribana, please let me know.

Some of the things I experienced proved to be extremely amusing and when I returned home, I had a permanent smile on my face. I giggled for no reason, arousing questions from my family. Even my five year old said, "Mom why are you smiling all the time?." In any event, my photos on my food blog proves my point, to see what I mean visit Guyana's Tasty Exotic
This event was a true portrayal of Canada's melting pot. The food was divine, and I simply can't wait for next year.
