Many food related allergies are directly related to the bodies inability to sterilize and convert the nutrients consumed properly. Many people over the age of 50, but not limited to these groups suffer from Hypochlorhydria or Achlorhydria. Hypochlorhydria is the reduced production of Hydrochloric Acid in the Stomach. Achlorhydria is the complete lack of HCL production in the Stomach. The primary responsibility of the Stomach is the sterilization, emusification and conversion of the nutrients consumed. There is very little absorption in the stomach, with the exception of certain fluids, one being alcohol. The immune system is not suppose to attack the nutrients a person consumes, but this is exactly what happens when unsterilized and unconverted nutrients enter the second stage of digestion. Many proteins are allergens, which are normally destroyed in the Stomach by the HCL and the conversion process. The conversion of the nutrients is acomplished by the peptic enzymes, Pepsin I and II. These enzymes are most active in the conversion process when the stomach pH is at 1.0 to 3.0 pH. When the pH of the Stomach moves toward the neutral side, pH 5.0., these enzymes are no longer active in converting proteins and starches. To complicate this condition, the Pyloric Sphincter at the base of the Stomach, starts to relax and open, on average, at 4.0 to 4.5 pH, allowing the contents of the stomach to dump into the duodenum and small bowel. The lack of proper sterilization and conversion will allow raw protein to enter the small bowel, causing allergies and many other problems. Over 68% of patients with Type two Diabetes suffer from Hypochlorhydria or Achlorhydria. Over 90% of patients with AIDs suffer from some form of Hypo, or Achlorhydria in the final stages of the disease. In the final stages of the disease there is no conversion or sterilization, and subsequently no support for the immune system. Hypochlorhydria and Achlorhydria will cause food born allergies. Before taking any type of medication for food born allergies a person should have a pH diangostic test commonly called a gastrogram. In many cases correcting the unbalance conditon in the digestive process will eliminate the allergy.
