Where do you buy your essestial oils and herbs from? I know growing herbs is easy - if you have your own yard. I can only grow a small amount on my patio, because I do not have my own private yard.

If you have a limited space, like I do, what are the herbs you consider the most important to grow for your rituals and prayer needs?

I actually do not have any space to grow herbs myself. I do not use alot of herbs in my rituals and prayers. I use more candles, incense, and energy work.

Sage is an important herb for cleansing. I believe in using herbs that can also be used in cooking. This would include rosemary, thyme and basil.

I have been searching for a good place to buy to essential oils. It have not used them for my practice so far. I have recently become more interested in essential oils and aromatherapy. I will let you know when I find a good place to purchase if you want.

Thanks, Teresa. Aromatherapy is a major part of all my prayers and meditations. I like to make my own blends of dried herbs and flowers and use the oils to enhance the fragrance. There are not many stores in our area that have the oils I need.

When burning sage for cleansing or purification, make sure it is not the culinary sage. That gives off a smoke that is too potent and may cause allergies or sinus problems. I use the wild desert sage that grows freely in Nevada. It has a sweeter, lighter fragrance and the smoke does not bother me. It leaves a nice pleasant aroma.

Hi Phyllis and Teresa,

I tried just typing "magical supplies" into the search bar and got a lot of good resources as results. I also used to get the catalog from Azure Green in the mail. That is a really fun catalog to look through and has herbs and oils. Every time I got that catalog I wanted one of everything I saw in it! So beware, it's full of beautiful things and very tempting.

I hope this helps.

Helen,

I just checked online for Azure Green and ordered my own catalog. I already see several things I want. Lovely! Thank you, again.

Thanks Helen.
I've received the Azure Green catalog before too and I agree that it is very tempting. There are always many things that I try to convince myself I really need.

You sound like me, Teresa - I am positive I need just about everything in the catalog. You and Helen and I should get together and have an ordering party.
