Best known for his prose on the African American male perspective, and those struggling to hide their identity, living on the "down-low", Harris brought a new voice and light to the struggle of many African American men and their sexuality, and opened the eyes of many women that date these men unknowingly.
Harris penned such novels as:
Invisible Life, Love of My Own, and the memoir What Becomes of the Brokenhearted.E. Lynn Harris will be missed, as will his true to life characters.
