Hi, Any adoptees here? Do you have any adoptees that have been your favorites in classic literature or The Bible? I have always loved Lucy Maude Montgomery's Anne Shirley- an adoptee that always shared her mixed feelings about life and loss but always looked for hope and faith and the positive aspects. I also as an adult have loved reading about Moses and Esther in the bible-both biblical adoptees. Though they struggled with loss and separation, they found their identity in God and became great leaders.Share your favorite literary or biblical adoptees.

Have you read the book, "The Sound of Hope" by Anne Bauer? I'm reading it now for a future article on the adoption site. So far, it's very interesting. I'm enjoying learning about what the author's life was like as an adoptee, and her struggles to find out more information about her birth family.
