Hello all,
This problem really make me confused.
i want to sold some of jewelry made of base metal plated with 925 sterling silver. and i don't want my customers mistake it as solid sterling silver.

So how could i give these jewelry a proper name so that my customers could distinguish it is sterling silver plated directly and exactly from the name?

How about "imitation sterling silver" "sterling silver imitation" or any other good names?

I would not try to label it as anything other than what it really is. Try calling it sterling silver plated metal. If you know that the base metal is brass, then you can say - sterling silver plated brass.
