Not boring at all Holiday! In fact thanks for sharing! I have some friends that are wonderful amateur interior designers and what I like most about what they do is how they will paint one wall in their respective apartments a really bright yet deep color. Something like a deep orange, reddish brown, or light burgundy. Colors like this in the living room for instance always give me a sense of warmth but are active as well. So you feel cozy yet not necessarily sleepy and lethargic in the room.

What are your favorite decorating colors?

Colors do play a vital role in influencing our moods and emotions.
Oftentimes, sportsmen and women have their changing rooms painted red to excite and invigorate them to be pepped up to play with high energy. Waiting rooms of dentists or meditation rooms are often painted pale blue or white to calm you. Preferred colors for bedrooms are light pinks, light shades of yellow or brown like beige, buff, cream as these are neutral or calming. This is my knowledge on color therapy. If anyone has any more ideas or web references to add, I'd surely appreciate reading about them.

I liked Leah's idea of painting one wall a bright deep color and keeping the rest subtle in light paint. Thanks Leah!
