Sooo. I've recently stumbled across a zip-up hoodie that actually fits my tiny frame and isn't terribly tight. Which is great. However, the downfall is that it has an enormous Mickey Mouse design taking up the whole half side of the front of the sweater. I'm thinking I want to sew something over it somehow, but every idea I have is falling short, because anything I'd make to sew over Mr. Mouse wouldn't entirely cover it. I've thought about making some kind of a solid background that'd cover the whole thing, and then sew something over that, but I am apprehensive that doing that would look tacky or just out of place. The good thing is that there's no pockets (yet), so I wouldn't have to maneuver around them.. I don't know. Suggestions?

Hmm. That is a tricky one. What about using the hoodie to draft a pattern for making an entirely new one? Have you looked at the brand to see if they make any other hoodies, hopefully without the ornamentation? You don't want to have the layer on one side be a lot heavier than the other side. Can you post a pic?

Can you get online to look through some ideas of Nancy Ziemans? She usually has some great ideas. How about some quilt squares? or maybe some flannel squares?
