What are your tricks?

I don't have fine hair so I wasn't going to chime in here - but this natural shampoo I'm making is really bulking my hair out. My pony tails feel twice as thick as normal when I try to get a band around them. So I imagine it would be helpful for people with thin hair too, if it's doing this to my thick hair.

Thanks for the tips, Lynne. I have been trying to think of a way to have my long thin hair styled and still get some body. It looks like this might work for me.

I also want to try Lisa's shampoo.

Maybe a shorter and layered do can work wonders. I'm thick-haired myself so I don't really have problem with the lack of body but I see it in salons that beauticians often suggest these kinds of styles. But for those who want to keep their long hair, I think skipping out on the conditioner can work.
