A quick tip if you are in a rush - use a cold silverware spoon (either cool in your drawer, or run under cold water or place in the freezer for a moment) and place under eye lids. It does the trick when you don't have time or makeup at hand. basically you are encouraging eye capillaries to shrink up a bit.

Anyone done this? It feels nice too - relaxing if it's hot out or if you're stressed, and even when you've been crying. It gives you the chance to take a moment. :-)

What makeup do you use for puffy eyes?

I have actually found that heat sometimes works just as well. There are times that my eyes are puffy because my sinuses are all stuffed up from allergies. If this is the case, then taking a benadryl or claritin and applying heat to my sinus area works better at clearing that area than the cool does.

But the heat is only good if the puffiness is because of my sinuses.

I use colorpsot reviving eye gel on those occasions. Its fragrance free.
