I have two black labs - Lily and Rose - sisters. They are now 2&1/2 yrs old and have provided me with many funny moments. One of my favorites -
Rose, somewhere around the age of 1, started to push the limits of good behavior - she is also a big lab - about 95lbs. Anyhoo after slaving all day on a huge pot of really thick and hearty split pea soup my hubbie and I were just sitting down to this great meal. It was late and we were watching a favorite TV show while we were eating so it took me awhile to hear the clink, clink, clink and notice that Rosie was not in her usual vantage point for prime begging. I quietly got up from the couch and sneaked into the kitchen to find her standing on her tiptoes with her entire head in the pot. I called her name and was rewarded with the hysterical site of a very guilty, very green-faced dog slinking away in shame. The soup was splattered all over her face, neck, the stove, the backsplash and yes even the ceiling. I would have scolded her but was laughing so hard I couldn't. Of course the camera was no where in reach but the memory will last a lifetime.
