4 A.M. the other morning I watched 2 old pros, Julia Childs and Martha Stewart, making the real buttercream. Not difficult at all. I am going to try to make some next time I make a cake.
I came across the Not Too Sweet Fluffy Frosting I mentioned. Here is the recipe. It lasts a long time without getting hard:
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbspn flour - Whisk in small pan as you cook over medium heat. Set aside.
1/4 cup Crisco
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 tspn vanilla - mix trogether in bowl.
Beat the two together now until fluffy.
