New version (6/15/09). It occurred to me – oops – that I might have been too draconian about the offsite links. (This whole forum thing is an ongoing learning experience for me.) Sometimes you all might need to post a link to a photo or to some instructions on your website to get feedback or help answer somebody's design question.

On the other hand, the BellaOnline.com forum policy in general is to protect the forums against spamming and the re-routing of forum traffic to somewhere else (also known as hijacking traffic).

Then there's the situation where instructors and students, or suppliers and buyers, are trying to find each other. However their offsite links will eventually get buried on the general forum pages.

So I'm going to anchor some categories at the top of the forum for everybody's convenience:

Offsite Links - Jewelry Making Classes,
Offsite Links – Jewelry Making Patterns
Offsite Links – Jewelry Making Supplies

Feel free to put your offsite links in those categories. By this, I mean that you could put a post in the main forum saying, "Jewelry Classes Starting! See my post in Offsite Links - Jewelry Making to sign up." Then copy your post into that category and add your offsite link.

You could also just post in the main forum and include offsite links. I may move the links to the obvious category and leave the rest of your post where it is so as to redirect people to where I've moved your links.

Or I might let the links stay in the main forum. It's hard to say until I see the post, but I don't mind sorting it out on a case-by-case basis. Thanks again for participating in the forum, and for your patience!
