Norman Lear was instrumental in bringing such edgy sitcoms as All in the Family to the small screen in the 1970's. After two years and three pilots, the show considered too racially explosive to air was finally on CBS - and it was a hit!

Lear was also responsible for such shows as Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Maude, One Day at a Time and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.

The first season of each of the seven shows mentioned above are included on this DVD collection as well as Lear and the casts discussing their respective shows. You will not find a better collection of the ground-breaking sitcoms anywhere else.
