I have a peace lily and I've struggled with it. I did not repot it and I think they may be the problem.

I was in the drycleaners the other day and she had a gorgeous peace lily. It was in a much larger pot than mine. So, I went right to the hardware store and picked up a new pot and repotted it. I think it already looks better. smile

I brought home a peace lily that had been thrown out at church. The poor thing had given its all and when the flowers went by and the leaves began to droop it was put out in the trash.
I put it in a bigger pot and gave it some loving attention and now it has sprouted new leaves and looks SO much better.

I live in the inner city and people are always putting their sick and dying plants out on the curb for the trash. Many of them aren't dead they just haven't been watered or had any sun. Many times I will just stop my car, open the hatch and throw it in and take it home. I must have a half dozen or more BEAUTIFUL trees/plants in my Jungle Room that are doing just fine. Eventually when possible, when I pot them up I break them down and make new plants from the original. Then I give them to friends and neighbors. I have a beautiful, sunny atrium in my back hallway that I also keep them in. Sometimes they just dissappear. But I figure if someone wanted it that badly enough to just take it, I hope they take care of it.

Anyone want a lily?? Hahahahahahaaaa.

I have been told Peace Lilies do not like to be moved around. We live very close to Florida and mine are outside all year. We had several blooms at Christmas.

I have 2 peace lilies and I think they are one of the easier plants to have. It will start drooping if it needs water. Mine are outside right now. I move my houseplants outside during the summer and I only have one in the house. It is a flamingo flower and it is my favorite and I was afraid to put it out in case my dog chewed it up!
