Oh please. Although it is terrible that this happened, it is not the school's or those other people's fault that their daughter killed herself. When you send out naked pictures of yourself you take the chance of people you didn't intend seeing it.
This article isn't too detailed, but maybe the parents should have talked with their daughter and helped her deal with her mistake.
I understand that parents are not at fault for every single thing their kids do. But just beacause the parents may not be at fault doesn't mean that the blame automatically gets put on the school. Sometimes it IS the kid's fault.
Maybe these parents need to continue their own counseling and stop blaming everyone else because their daughter didn't have the capacity to deal with her own problems.

I have been saying over and over, once you send something out into cyberspace it is almost impossible to get it back. There are 2 sides to every story and we are hearing only one side.

I do believe children and teens are vicious in this day and age, and most have no insight or accountability as to what some of their impulsive actions may incur.

Allegedly hundreds of students helped in passing around the photo, leading to stalking and abuse verbally as well as physically when she went anywhere in the town. The abuse included gender slurs and having things thrown at her.

This obviously went far beyond the usual teasing.

Regardless you are correct, had she not sent out the photo initially we would not be discussing this today.

I feel for the family, no one should have to bury a child, but nothing will bring her back. I hope they try and get the sexting laws changed, and how do you find a phone/computer without a built in camera now days??? It is darn near impossible.
