I have been saying over and over, once you send something out into cyberspace it is almost impossible to get it back. There are 2 sides to every story and we are hearing only one side.
I do believe children and teens are vicious in this day and age, and most have no insight or accountability as to what some of their impulsive actions may incur.
Allegedly hundreds of students helped in passing around the photo, leading to stalking and abuse verbally as well as physically when she went anywhere in the town. The abuse included gender slurs and having things thrown at her.
This obviously went far beyond the usual teasing.
Regardless you are correct, had she not sent out the photo initially we would not be discussing this today.
I feel for the family, no one should have to bury a child, but nothing will bring her back. I hope they try and get the sexting laws changed, and how do you find a phone/computer without a built in camera now days??? It is darn near impossible.
