Today's journaling prompt talks about having a particular place in nature where you felt the "energy of solitude".

For me it wasn't so much a particular place I can go to now - but a very specific time and place.

That is neat that you have such a powerful memory Angela! Is there anything in your current life that comes even close? We all need that sort of energy every once in a while

I rarely leave the house and our neighbors are really loud so while I like our back yard it's not very "solitude" like.

This is a really good question. I'm really not sure. Which is sad! The bike trail near here is nice but certainly not solitary!

Woo hoo! I did yoga out in the dark tonight and it was wonderful! The peepers were peeping, the candles were glowing and I was so content. Sometimes things work out just wonderfully!

I worked outside today on my email, answering editor questions, and it was really lovely. A few times the neighbors turned on their radio very loudly, but other than those brief interruptions it was beautiful, with chickadees chirping and finches flying around. I need to learn to focus on the long swaths of beauty

It's still raining here. I hear it beating on the window. The thunder is in the distance too. The weathermen are calling for a 30 percent chance of rain tomorrow too. Today is about the fifth rainy day in a row. I hope it rains during the summer too and not all this week.

We're lucky, it's been mostly sunny here with just enough rain to water the flowers and plants! Yes it's best when there's a balance. I think it should alternate, 3 days of sun, 1 day of gentle showers, with a thunderstorm thrown in once a month for fun

It was hot and sunny all day today. It's 84 right now and it was probably close to 95 today. We just had a gentle shower with some light thunder. I cooked in the heat today. I was outside from 10:00 until 4:00.

I normally don't like the heat but 95 sounds WONDERFUL right about now. Spring is slowly creeping into New York City.

I like to write in my journal under a tree near the grocery store where I shop. Also there are two parks that are great for journaling and I have a favorite spot at the library. I don't spend too much time writing out doors tho. If I'm going to write for hours, I always do that inside for some reason.

That's funny Leah - it's been in the 70s here and I've been thinking it's too hot! It's only going to get worse of course. I love the seasons but I seem to be most happy around 65F
