I got some grapeseed oil and a number of fragrances to test out for bug repellent and other purposes. I am testing peppermint / ginger combination which is supposed to be good for anti-bug reasons, and it does smell lovely for massage reasons.

Another combination I tested is pine / juniper. I like that more for just putting on my hands at the end of a long day.

Do you guys have oil combinations you enjoy? I was going to try peppermint / lavender next - that seems an interesting combination of "catch your attention" with "prepare to fall asleep"!

For night-time, a lavendar-scented pillow tucked under my head lulls me to sleep. I have a spray bottle with lavendar scents and also spray a little bit around me. I don't say this is ok for everyone but I am fine with it. Rachel Rome, Spas Editor

One of my favorite combos came from a client who knew what she wanted. I have a premade blend called "Relaxation" that has Lavender and Tangerine. She asked if I would add one drop of sandalwood to the mix and it made the whole thing so much deeper. It was LOVELY. It was the way I would imagine a dream to smell.

I decided to try olive oil with hazelnut oil. It absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving an oily residue. The hazelnut leaves a lovely aroma on your skin. Hazelnut oil also hydrates your skin.
