I couldn't hear what was being said, but i'm glad she lived
The street over from me a womens boyfriend ran over her daughter and killed her she was just a teenager, the mother and boyfriend were arguing. its so sad the daughter lost her life because of some thing that could of been avoided, I know this is another whole subject, but it just happend.

The woman who was hit by the car was running from a bear. The bear had to be euthanized because it was considered dangerous, in that "it had no fear of humans" per the Park Rangers.

The woman and her husband paid tribute to the bear's spirit and name their child after the bear. Her middle name will be Bear.

Thats so sweet! sad for the bear though but need to be done

In the area in New Jersey where I used to live we had black bears in the area. It was a rural area. We knew not to get between a bear and her cubs or between a bear and a trash can. They did not damage any property, or injure any of the neighborhood pets. We all knew not to let the kids out alone around dusk, and the local dogs would bark to announce the bears were in the neighborhood making their evening rounds. We enjoyed watching them, from a safe distance, and to tell you the truth, I miss them now that I live where there are none.

One evening, while we were bear watching, a woman came driving down the street who was unfamiliar with the bears. She was horrified to see a bear in the road and chased it with her car, back off the street and into the woods. When she stopped her car she was expecting us all to thank her, but instead we were all miffed at her for disturbing it.

Ultimately, if we choose to go into bear territory we should be wary, and not blame a bear for being a bear. They are not to blame for becoming used to human contact and don't deserve to be destroyed for it.
