Homeschooling one or more children can take a lot out of a mom. How many moms take time just for themselves? Do you do it once a week, once a month? What do you do to recharge?

I take time to recharge every day! Every afternoon we have a quiet time. My 2 and 5 year olds take a nap, and my oldest can read or put together puzzles or do any other quiet activities. My only rule is that he disturbs me, he has to take a nap. I use this time to rest, play around on the computer, catch up on chores or do anything else I want to do.

Sounds like a good rule. We have to take care of ourselves or we are not going to be any good to our kids.

That is a great system Carletta - it teaches your oldest son to be more self sufficient and gives you the time you need to recharge your batteries! We all need time to refresh our brain if we are going to stay sane!
