I didn't do too badly considering I don't live in the states. Score 84%, Average Error 42 miles, Time 380 seconds. Thanks that was fun.

I got 78%. The first ones I got really close but with no border, not close enough. Wow, this is a great site.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow...what a great site. :)
I scored 88% the first time around in a little over 300 seconds. Tried it again and got 92. Can't wait to see how my kids do. :)

Hmmm 82% with 30 mile error. My time was 356 sec. If it wasn't for those little bitty Yankee states .... LOLOL

I did OK on the New England States. It was those states around Nebraska and north of Texas that did me in. LOL

I don't know why I haven't seen this thread before, but I really enjoyed the test. I didn't do too badly. Got 92 percent correct with a 6 mile average error. I could have done it faster, I suppose. It took me almost 4 minutes. This test went much faster and easier when the state you were placing had at least one existing boundary, then it was a breeze.

It is a bit tricky when the borders are not in place - if you're in the right vicinity, I think it's great. It really test your memory.

States are fine. They are pretty consistent. It's those pesky counties and changing town names. :-/

You're right about that - the genealogy of counties and towns can be daunting.
What states are of interest to you? I'm in the SE but moving northward and half of the family is from Italy.
