That is a great prompt Angela. I don't think I laugh nearly as much as when I was a child. Now I focus on work all the time. I should try to make more time to relax and have some laughing types of experiences!

I tried something new awhile back. Writing about something really silly and dumb that happened(I'll spare you the details)- and writing it as humorously as I could. It was a nice helpful stretch in my writing and helped me to understand that there really is humor in nearly everything.

I'm NOT talking about the bad-taste humor that comes to the fore in large-scale tragedies like all those hideous 9/11 jokes (I'll never understand how someone could joke about that), but about the absurdities of ordinary days.
