Every so often I get a cool box in the mail from
PhatFiber . In the box are samples from many independent fiber, yarn and needlecraft companies. The Independents sell their wares on Etsy, Ravelry, their own websites or in some other grass root way. It is a great way to see small amounts of yarn and supplies from many sources at a small price. (The price varies depending on what is included in the sample box.) Since a lot of the independent yarns individually are not cheap in price, this is not a bad way to get some samples to test. Included with the samples are coupons if you decide to purchase the wares.
