Severe allergies and chronic sinusitis/sinus infections have diminished my enjoyment of life for a number of years. Little did I know that I was missing an important diagnosis, yeast syndrome. According to C. Orian Truss, a physician, who wrote The Missing Diagnosis," yeast syndrome should be suspected in anyone with chronic sinus and upper respiratory conditions and allergies, runny nose, postnasal drip, mucus in the throat, itchy ears or chronic sore throat. Read more about this syndrome on the allergies and colds page at http://bellaonline.com/site/allergiesandcolds.

Do you have a story of a diagnosis that was missed but when finally found, lead to a marked improvement in your allergies or upper respiratory problems?
