BellaOnline Forums Hobbies and Crafts Sewing pleated box valance with curves

I'm trying to sew a pleated box valance. The top of the valance is one long curve. I want the bottom of each pleated section to have a curve as well. I also want to put banding (1-1/2" finished length) along the bottom of the valance. The fabric for the banding is striped and I would like it to be on the diagonal when finished (cut on the bias). Does anyone have any hints on how to cut the binding so that it will be 1-1/2" when finished and will hang properly after being turned. Can this even be done? Thanks in advance, Kim
