The thing is people generally don't think about places when they think about people - they just think about the person. So for example Sean Connery is from Scotland but I doubt someone thinks of Scotland and says "hey that is where Sean Connery was born!" Where someone was born doesn't seem to be that memorable in modern times where people move all around. Things that are permanent like giant mountains or fascinating buildings or killer monsters seem to be much more location-specific.
When I think of Diana I don't think of Wales. I think of Charles and them as humans
It can be a friendly monster, not a scary one! But would everyone know Transylvania if it wasn't for Dracula?
Champagne is world famous because of one drink. Otherwise it'd be an unknown little region of France. So we need a Welsh drink too
