Peer Mentoring Programs and Childhood Disability
http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art61295.asp

Students with disabilities as well as their mainstream peers benefit from being included in peer mentoring and buddy programs in schools and community recreation. Children with disabilities can be both mentors and buddies.

Students labeled as having significant disabilities are often excluded or specifically included in peer programs rather than growing up naturally included in the school and extracurricular activities of their peers.

If your son or daughter has participate in Peer Mentoring or Buddy programs, please share your stories here.

Thanks!
