Hi everyone,

I've just finished a week-long time audit, in which I tracked what I did for every 30-minute chunk of every day. It was a very interesting process (and one that was also sort of a pain!), and it helped me get a better picture of where I'm really spending my time.

Read my original article here: Track Your Tasks with a Time Audit.

Here's the follow-up article: Lessons Learned from a Week-Long Time Audit

If you've done a time audit, I'd love to hear what you learned, what insights you gained, what's currently working well with how you're spending your time, and what habits you'd like to change. Post your experiences and lessons learned here so we can give you a pat on the back and/or a boost to make the changes you want to make to add more efficiency to your week.

I look forward to hearing from you!

-Emily

Emily, I'm going to try your time audit. I do fritter away a lot of time!

Emily that is an AWESOME idea and article. I'm sure most of us feel busy and stressed but have little idea of how our time gets spent. This is a great way to get it down on paper so that we can evaluate it and take steps to get it managed!

Can you write an article that has a chart in it? I know it sounds silly but if I could just print out your charts it would make me much more likely to start ...

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the suggestion, Lisa! I've created a time audit chart and have posted it to my company's website. Here's the link:

Time Audit Chart

Hope it's helpful!

Best,
Emily
