I am a serious and avid motorcyclist. I ride maybe 300 days a year in the Mid-Atlantic states, a little less than 15,000 miles annually on average. I have been a serious and avid motorcyclist for 30 years, and though I ride more now than when I started, I certainly have over a quarter million miles in the saddle.
Without a doubt, motorcycling is the most dangerous thing I do.
Almost all of that danger may be attributed to other drivers.
If, through other drivers' negligence or recklessness, my life is put in peril only three times in a week, that is a good week.
Kind of funny with the risk of death impinging on my riding so often - I'm not a live to ride guy, I ride to live.
