I do love quotes - they can be so inspiring - or funny - or thought-provoking. What are your favorite quotes? They don't have to be about creativity... Here's one from the Winnie the Pooh creator, AA Milne: "One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries." That is soooooooo true - one of these days I shall become completely organized - oh, yes I shall! - but until then I do make exciting discoveries. (When I'm looking for something else).

LOL. I LOVE that Pooh quote. And what is it about quotes that we love so much. I do find them inspirational! Like one-sentence philosophy. ha.

I love Ralph Waldo Emerson's quotes.

"Earth laughs in flowers." That one always makes me smile.

"Every wall is a door." The story of my life.

"Enthusiasm is the mother of effort, and without it nothing great was ever achieved." That is all I have, really. Enthusiasm. And with it, hope to succeed.

Emerson, himself, did not like quotations: "I hate quotations. Tell me what you know."

These are brill quotes! I do like earth laughing flowers, particularly. I don't know what it is about quotes - maybe it is indeed that you can see them in one go and so quickly feel uplifted or enlightened.

And what about Beatrix Potter: "Thank goodness I was never sent to school; it would have rubbed off some of the originality."

I love this one:

"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."

Pablo Picasso said: All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. Yes, that is the problem. But we're going to tackle it here on the Creativity Site. Oh, yes!

I like this one - this is what we're going to do on the Creativity site...

Good one, Pepper!

And...

"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.
