I think Yoga for Dummies, although a bit dated, is still a great book for increasing understanding of just how comprehensive Yoga is. It's author, Larry Payne has another great book - Yoga Rx: A Step-by-Step Program to Promote Health, Wellness, and Healing for Common Ailments and a several Yoga Rx DVDs designed for Yoga beginners over 40.
