This one is going to be a 2-parter, because there are just too many great robots to write about in SciFi movies! This article covers robots in Hollywood from the 20s-70s. Robots, Robots, Robots

LOL! What about that robot from the old "Lost in Space" series? You know..."Danger, Will Robinson, danger!" He didn't have a name only a model number: Model B-9, Class 3M and was called The Robot. Did you know that there is a company that manufactures and sells the robot? Here is the link: [url] http://www.lostinspacerobot.com/[url] They are full sized replicas! Cool!

The "Lost in Space" Robot was the best robot to ever appear on TV. He was great in his unique design for the time period, the mid 1960s. He was also a good character on the too.

Often forgot some of the best movie robots were Huey, Dewey and Louey from the movie "Silent Running" starring Bruce Dern. These robots appeared before "Star Wars", but they almost look like early prototypes of R2D2.

The best "robots" are the replicants in 'Blade Runner' - although I really wished that Pris would've killed Deckard LOL. My fave robot story by a mile is 'The Stepford Wives' - brilliant novel and brilliant movie (the original, not that silly re-make LOL)
