amyuk: would like to get an indian massage as well. I can already imagine getting one. *sigh*
Do you know any good websites or sources on how to learn this?
I already heard about Indian head massages, but don't have a clue on what it's all about and how it's done. It sure sounds good. smile

Guess what? I give massages and reiki. More info here!

I go with every other day since my hair is really thick and long. it's a pain to wash it everyday and do the works such as shampooing and deep conditioning and even air drying it. I don't like to use a blow dryer as it cooks up the strands.

2 or 3 times a week, although sometimes I use a little dry shampoo between washes!

Hello MagnersPear,
Welcome to the forum.
I'm liking the new dry shampoos that are available. The old kind used to leave you with dusty hair. The new ones are much improved.

I have thin and colored hair. I like to at least shampoo every other day, I get oli residue on top of my head. I do also remember the days of the spray dry shampoo and they were once awful!

I condition my hair daily, but have almost stopped using shampoo entirely. I have long, curly hair that tends to be dry. I read a book about seven years ago about caring for curly hair and the author said that shampooing daily is too hard on curly hair so I gave it up and it has changed my life. Sounds dramatic doesn't it? But my hair was always poofy and frizzy no matter how much or what kind of product I used (and I tried 'em all!) and now it is much less frizzy is softer and more shiny.

I have heard that your method is great for curly hair - leaving the natural oils in.

The only thing I think you should be on the look-out for is that if you have any tendency toward hair loss or thinning hair this system is not good.

The scalp and hair folicles need to be cleansed of dead skin cells, oil and anything that is likely to clog follicles. Anyone who has a problem with thinning hair is recommended to cleanse their scalp every day with a product such as Nioxin.
