I'm curious about what kinds of journals other journalers use. Do you stick to the one kind all the time, or do you try different ones each time you finish one and move on to the next? I try to stick to the same brand and size, but sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me and I try a dfifferent one. In general I do like the A5 size best as it fits nicely in my handbag for taking out and about. Since I've just gotten back into journaling a week ago, I'm in my first journal. Last night I covered it with a pretty floral fabric and then glued a pink crocheted square over the top. It looks very girly now and I rather like it. What do you use?

I use several styles. For my morning pages, I use a college rule 5 subject three hole notebook, just because it has plenty of pages in it. Also I have a gratitude journal that is hard cover about 4x6", and a couple of others that were given to me as gifts that I use for various topics. I have a small dream journal that I haven't used lately, and I have a semisoft (or semihard?) covered 6x8" that I use as a spiritual journal for scripture and prayer requests, etc.

Somehow I have ended up with a lot of journals, but mostly because family members give them to me for Christmas or Birthdays.

I tend to use smaller spiral-bound blank books for my "real" journal.
I have a durable leather-covered book for my gratitude/blessings journal.

Other stuff is just whatever people happen to give me. :-)

When I journal, I write in an electronic document. It's about 65 pages but the entries are often short and often missed. I did a lot of writing when my mother was very sick. I write short blurbs about a myriad of things, people, places. When we travel I keep a travel journal.

I have a lot of different types of journals. I am a diabetic and have to keep a food and medicine journal, that's usually just a spiral bound notebook, but it still has personal notes in it, like how I was feeling that day etc etc.

Then I usually keep a hardback journal for my personal stuff. I like to pick out journals that have flowers or butterflys, girly books lol.. or I have several quilted covered ones, I like those a lot.

I'm getting ready to start a gratitude journal and I'm looking forward to picking out a new one for that.

And I have one that I am currently doing on my bellaonline journal prompts in, which is a spiral notebook, because I didn't have anything else at the time. I love blank books of all kinds though... I just like to write lol... grin

I just had to get a new evening / gratitude journal and after roaming around Staples I found one with a soft, pillowy cover. I thought it was great for evening in-bed writing so that's what I use. I write in that every evening.

For my morning journal, i.e. my to-do list organizer, it's a leather bound one at my writing desk.

I keep a small spiral bound notebook in my purse, for anything that springs to mind as I'm on the go. I like my purse one to be super light because my purse is already heavy enough as it is!
