class that you really liked? If so, can you share your experience? What did you like or dislike? Is it annual? Is it classes or just knitting?

I'll get us started.

My guild in the Central Coast of California holds an annual retreat for 3 days. Anywhere from 15 to 25 people attend. We share rooms and have a common room, where people gather daily to knit on already started projects, start new projects, take field trips to local yarn shops, and talk about life and knitting. It is lovely and relaxing. There is no set agenda, no classes, but a lot of learning happens anyway.

That sounds awesome! Is there some type of knitter's guild registry? I'd love to find one in the South Georgia, North Florida area.

Yes, try The knitting guild of America at tkga.com. And knittinguniverse.com which host Stitches.

Good luck.

Thanks for the links. I found a guild in Jacksonville, FL. I'm hoping that will be a great resource for learning and patterns.

Keep me posted, my guild is often my salvation. Be sure to ask there for a flat knit hat pattern.
