Hello! Has anyone applied to grad school for the upcoming year? If so, how are you coping with the waiting?

Please share your experiences with us!

I am currently in a master's program, but am waiting to hear if I got into a PhD program. When I first applied to graduate school I was a nervous wreck. Until I heard from my first school I couldn't sleep, and when I did I had nightmares about my applications. I am much better this time around (though I have had my share of nightmares). I think the best thing to do is to send your applications in and then do whatever it takes to keep your mind off of the process. The letters will come when they come and worrying won't hurry up the process.

I'm putting in my applications within the next month! I'm nervous about staying motivated to get them in. It's really important that I give myself these options:).

I've just finished submitting all my apps and sending off packets to my recommenders to send in my recommendations. I'm really nervous, not about getting accepted, I don't see why I won't be accepted, but about actually going. lol

Congratulations to those of you who have finished the application process! It is extremely stressful and now the really hard part begins: the waiting!

I've actually applied to three Phd programs myself this application season and so far I have been accepted into one. I'm very excited and not a little bit afraid.

Good luck to you all.

The important thing, IMO, is to find a grad school that is accredited. Right now, due to other people's prejudices against online school also picking a traditional land based school that happens to be online will also be a good thing to do.(if you're going the online route)

I'm thinking about going back for grad school in a few years, but not quite yet. Thinking about law school, actually. PhD seems like an arduous process -- that's amazing that you're taking on that responsibility! Best of luck.
