I put "working; selfemployed" because I am hoping to paid for my writing one day, LOL!

But Officially I am a stay at home mom. My oldest has Asperger's and I am needed at the oddest moments during the day - plus doctors and psychologist's visits. So it is very hard to hold down a 9 - 5 job.

We are considering the possibility that I might have to take a night shift at a store or something while my husband is home with the kids, just to help ends meet.

I applaud you, because many people may not realize that a stay at home mom IS a full time job, plus being a care giver for your oldest.
Hopefully you will be able to budget so that you don't have to take a part time evening job in a store or elsewhere. From experience, I know that can be draining even though I did enjoy meeting the people that came in to shop.
I guess it's weighing the amount of money you would earn vs. the strain it MAY put on your family not being able to spend as much quality time together, plus travel expenses, etc... If you do HAVE to get a part time job, I certainly hope it's short term unless, of course, you start to love it
